Making standard components flexible

eZono is an ultrasound company not a semiconductor designer. Thus our core competency is the creation of efficient firmware for readily available programmable processors. We use the latest generation of processors, which can be found as well in large telecom equipment, in order to process vast amounts of data in real-time. Furthermore the firmware-centric approach allows us to design already the signal processing to the specific applications and this makes the system overall way more flexible and more useful for the end users. In order to generate an excellent ultrasound image we use the latest graphics technology which can be found also in game consoles. Hence throughout the system we use standard components, which we bring together with our algorithms and firmware to generate state-of-the-art ultrasound images.
